"Before I finished my degree and considered the various training programme I consulted friends widely and the reputation of BDO’s programme was outstanding. One of the main advantages of it was the experience gained through the variety of large, medium and small clients. The exposure to a multi-disciplined business really stands to you.

My career has really developed because of the exposure to more than auditing. This experience gained has provided me with an all round understanding of the larger commercial and business transactions. It has helped me develop key skills in communication, teamwork and leadership.

Now I work on due diligences, property investment, project finance and management buyouts. What particularly appeals to me is the different categories of work within the Corporate Finance department. Assignments such as MBO’s, project finance, due diligences and investment properties provide an interesting mix.

Some of the really interesting and challenging assignments I worked on included setting up the ‘Londinium BDO Residential Property Fund’, sourcing of investment property for the private client networks and leading management buyouts (MBO’s)."
