"The Financial Services division appealed to me as it was important to gain experience in all areas of financial services while allowing my career to progress. With BDO Simpson Xavier, I was given the support required to complete my QFA qualifications and continue with other relevant studies. My role has progressed from administrating company pension schemes to dealing with investments, life assurance, mortgages, executive and personal pensions.

I have gained invaluable experience in all areas such as pensions, investments, savings, mortgages, protection and life assurance. Dealing with different clients from high net worth individuals to large companies allowed me to gain valuable experience in dealing with different situations each day such as retirement planning, refinancing and investing.

Since joining BDO Simpson Xavier my interpersonal and communication skills have really improved. Dealing with clients on a day to day basis, I often provide presentations to company Trustee and employees. I also prepare tailored Needs Analysis reports for new clients while providing regular reviews for existing clients. You also get to work closely with other BDO departments on various projects.

It is also a very enjoyable place to work and with a strong social environment. The young age profile of the company allow for an excellent work ethos between the various company departments and different management levels making it an enjoyable place to work."
