BDO, the world’s fifth largest accountancy network, has officially announced its convergence on a single trading name. From 1 January, BDO Simpson Xavier will simply be known as BDO, a move echoed by all of its member firms in over 110 countries throughout the world.

Since its establishment in 1982, BDO Simpson Xavier has been characterised by its client-centred, personalised approach in delivering professional services to its customers. Its name has become synonymous among Irish businesses with providing critical business expertise required in the Irish market. The name change signifies a commitment to this local approach while at the same time allowing the firm to harness the expertise of the wider network.

BDO has strengthened its brand, visual identity, messaging and positioning.

A small percentage of BDO Member Firms made the change already last year however the majority completed the transition to the single global trading name on 1 January, 2010.
